Balanco offers a focused range of watch repair work — not a catch-all list. Each service has a clear scope, a transparent price, and a stated turnaround. You know what you are getting before the work begins.

Assessment first, work second
Every watch brought to Balanco is assessed before anything is opened. The purpose is to confirm which service applies and whether the stated scope covers the condition found. If an issue outside the service scope is identified, this is communicated to the owner before any decisions are made.
Work proceeds only when scope and cost have been agreed. The timeline is stated at that point and held to. For work where parts are required, the owner is told how long that stage is expected to take.
Instruments — timing machine, pressure tester — are used where relevant and their results recorded. Nothing is estimated when it can be measured.

Service 01
Cleaning & Lubrication Tune-Up

An external clean with a focused lubrication of accessible points to keep a sound movement running smoothly between full services. Aimed at owners maintaining a watch that is already in fair order. The service is not a full movement disassembly — it addresses the areas that respond well to periodic attention without the time and cost of a complete overhaul. Includes inspection notes and a timing read at the end.

Service 02
Water-Resistance Reseal & Pressure Check

Replacement of all seals followed by a staged pressure check to confirm the case holds to its stated rating. Aimed at owners of diver or sport pieces who want confidence before returning the watch to active use. The service addresses the gaskets at crown, case-back, and pushers — the three points where water ingress most commonly occurs — and verifies the result with documented testing. The completed test record is returned with the watch.

Service 03
Heirloom Rebuild & Documentation
฿33,000 · Eight to twelve weeks
A careful rebuild of a family heirloom with full written and photographic documentation of every step, so the work and the watch's story stay together. Aimed at owners preserving a piece for the next generation. The service includes a complete movement service with cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of all components; considered cosmetic work where appropriate; archival notes covering condition before and after; and a presentation folder to house the documentation. Turnaround is eight to twelve weeks depending on the movement and the work required.

Standards that apply to every job
Secure handling
Watches in for service are stored in a locked cabinet outside workshop hours. Items are never left unattended on an open surface.
Written records on collection
Every completed job returns with a document — the form and depth varies by service, but nothing leaves the bench without a written account of what was done.
Change communication
If scope, timeline, or cost changes during the job, the owner is contacted directly before work continues. No assumptions are made.
Instrument-based measurement
Timing rates are measured on a timing machine. Pressure tests are run on calibrated equipment. Results are recorded, not estimated.
Single-technician continuity
The technician who assesses the watch is the same one who carries out the work. No internal handoffs, no second-hand information.
