How Balanco came to be
Balanco opened on Sukhumvit 24 with a single guiding idea: that watch repair should be carried out with the kind of unhurried attention the object calls for. The name refers to the balance wheel, the oscillating heart of a mechanical movement — a part that must be in equilibrium for everything else to function.
The workshop was founded by a technician who had spent years working within larger service operations and wanted to work without the compromises that volume and turnover tend to introduce. The goal was a smaller, more deliberate practice — one where each watch is seen as its own project rather than a number in a queue.
Bangkok made sense for its mix of long-term expatriate residents, returning Thais with family heirlooms, and a growing community of collectors who want a workshop they can visit and speak with directly. The Sukhumvit 24 location keeps us accessible without the bustle of the main strip.
Today Balanco takes in three defined services — cleaning and lubrication tune-ups, water-resistance reseals, and full heirloom rebuilds — and works through them in order, communicating clearly at every stage.

To return a watch to its owner in better order than it arrived, with a clear written record of what was done — and to do that consistently, without shortcuts.
Approach
Scope and cost are confirmed before work begins. Findings that change the picture are communicated immediately. The watch is returned with notes, not assumptions.

Who works on your watch
Krit Prachuabmoh
Lead Watchmaker
Fifteen years repairing mechanical and automatic movements. Krit handles all assessments and the majority of hands-on work at the bench.
Nattawee Wongkham
Workshop Technician
Specialist in water-resistance testing and case work. Nattawee conducts all pressure checks and manages the documentation process for rebuilds.
Parichat Srisuk
Client Liaison
Parichat handles all client communication, intake, and documentation assembly. She ensures every job is tracked and every owner kept informed.
How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Pre-work assessment
Every watch is assessed before any work begins. Scope, cost, and timeline are confirmed in writing with the owner before the first tool is used.
Photographic records
For all rebuild work, photographs are taken at disassembly and reassembly. These are archived and returned with the piece in a presentation folder.
Instrument-verified results
Water-resistance is confirmed by pressure testing, not assumption. Timing rates are measured with a timing machine and reported on the job card.
No surprises policy
If unexpected findings arise during work, the client is contacted before any additional scope is undertaken. Nothing outside the agreed work is done without approval.
Secure storage
Watches in for service are kept in a locked cabinet outside working hours. Client data is held only as long as the job requires and not passed to third parties.
Complete job documentation
Every completed job leaves the workshop with a written record. For tune-ups this is an inspection note; for rebuilds it is a full archival document.

For family heirlooms especially, that record has value beyond the immediate repair — it becomes part of the object's history.
